After recently terracing our steeply sloping allotment we have 30+ square metres of vertical space. I’m thinking it would be nice to grow trailing plants over the edges of each terrace and encourage them to trail over the top and down the vertical side. Could this work?

What plants would do well growing like this?
    Nasturtiums and Mashua maybe?
Strawberries maybe? Any particular varieties more suited for trailing down?
    Any other suggestions?
