Homeacres Open day 6th September 2020 postponed to 2021

September 06 @ 11:00 am - 4:30 pm

After careful consideration Charles has decided to cancel the Open Day due to be held on 6th September.  Last year the event attracted over 800 people, so this year we planned a ticketed event for maximum 100 people in two sessions. Charles consulted with his neighbours on the lane, and they are not happy with this. We are sorry and hope to be able to reschedule for some time next year, and we shall post ideas in spring.

More information on our chosen charities, who we hope to support next year:

PROMISEworks delivers inspirational mentoring to some of Somerset’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people -aged 5 to 25.  They are referred to us for a variety of reasons including abuse and neglect.

Each of our wonderful volunteers is an ordinary person who can find time to give regular support to a child who needs their help.  PROMISEworks offers a 4-day extensive training programme, usually 2 Fridays and 2 Saturdays.   More information on our website: www.promiseworks.org.uk

Send a Cow doesn’t impose solutions, we help grow them from within. That’s why they work. Our African-designed solutions were developed with, and for, the communities we support. Families get back the skills and confidence they need to get the most from their land. Families can grow enough food, earn a living and go after their dreams.  www.sendacow.org
