Announcement! My new book ‘No Dig’ is out this Autumn

I am so proud of this book because it is such a complete summary of my two main passions in gardening. I bring together no dig gardening and growing vegetables, in a way to create something that I know you’ll be able to come back to again and again. Whether you’re new to no dig gardening or not, it will provide you with the tools and understanding to make this technique your own and to give life to a thriving vegetable garden.

I wrote No Dig to explain in not too many words, this highly practical, effective, achievable method. It saves time and allows gardeners to enjoy the garden more. For example, a simple annual mulch of compost improves soil fertility, when soil is left undisturbed. It feeds the soil ecology for a healthy balance between pests and predators. And this promotes robust growth of both vegetables and flowers, enabling you to grow a large harvest of super-healthy food in a beautiful, sustainable garden, with few weeds or pests.

In the book, you’ll find deep dives into soil health and maintenance, the details of growing all main vegetables, and even a detailed  directory of edible herbs.

This book is published by Dorling Kindersley. It was a pleasure through the preceding year to work with Jonathan Buckley who took all the beautiful photographs of the garden.
