Site News

Welcome to my site and I hope you enjoy navigating around. There is a lot of information here.

In fact, the amount of advice and data I offer has made it a big job to reorganise for the new site. For example, the updates of seasonal advice now number nearly 200, while the forum has many thousand users and 2,700 topics at the last count. Have a browse!

The emphasis of my writing and teaching is no dig, a method which already existed in 1982 when I began, but little was known at that time. Thanks to my promotion of no dig, it has become internationally recognised.

Even more than that, my work with vegetable growing and picking has built a vast resource of knowledge about better times to sow, ways to grow and how to harvest. Most of that is in the pages of this site.

My shop is a growing resource, mainly of books and courses.

The Learn tab is full of advice from multisowing and making compost, to my famous timeline of best sowing dates.

The No Dig tab looks at the methods you can use and their relative advantages. Such as this page on starting out.

Do check out some videos, especially the How to Grow servers such as beetroot, to increase your success rate in each vegetable.

My YouTube channel passed 100,000 subscribers in December 2018, and is used all over the world.
