We moved to our new home in 2024. My partner had successfully tried no dig at his previous home and my son at his allotment - the decision to use it at our new home was an easy one!
The garden hadn’t been touched for years and was full of twitch and mares tail.We put in a greenhouse, a cold frame and 3 small no dig beds using the cardboard and compost method.
We built 3 pallet compost bins. We’ve also put in a no dig herb garden and flower beds.
The garden transformation in such a short time is really quite amazing.
Our vegetable success was fantastic for the first year. We’re looking forward to using our own compost in 2025!
