Shai Sofer is a dedicated filmmaker and passionate advocate for sustainable agriculture. Discovering Charles Dowding's innovative methods greatly influenced Shai’s approach, and he even consulted with Charles while creating his first No Dig bed. As a pioneer of the No Dig system in Israel, Shai has transformed the way we grow vegetables, promoting natural systems that yield bountiful, healthy crops. His passion extends beyond the garden, as he delights in creating delicious meals from his harvests.

Key Achievements:

• Pioneering No Dig in Israel: Shai introduced and championed the No Dig gardening method in Israel, setting a new standard for sustainable farming.
• Innovative Educator: He created and delivered the first No Dig course in Hebrew, equipping gardeners with the knowledge to embrace this eco-friendly method.
• Community Builder: Shai established the No Dig IL Facebook group, nurturing a community of over 12,000 members who share insights and support each other. He is also the administrator of the Natural Vegetables Gardeners (Israel) group, which boasts an impressive 22,000 members.
