At its heart, Grow Urban Festival is about Regenerating Soils & Souls,  reconnecting people with soil, food, growing, community and the living systems that sustain us.

This year’s theme explores how we move from simply talking about urban growing and greening, to embedding practical growing skills, soil care, food resilience and ecological knowledge into everyday life.

Across the week, gardens, farms, community spaces and institutions across London will open their doors for workshops, talks, open gardens, walks and conversations around food growing, soil health, water, fungi, biodiversity and how cities can become more resilient and connected.

The festival brings together grassroots growers, educators, cultural institutions and community projects, including The Land Gardeners, Natural History Museum, National Trust, Imperial College London, The Conduit, Rudolf Steiner House, Kew Gardens, Morley College, Energy Garden, Capital Growth, Meanwhile Gardens, The Story Garden and many more.

I am supporting the festival this year and will be part of the programme, helping to share the practical power of no-dig growing, soil health and working with natural systems. My talk, "No Dig, Companion Planting, and the Practical Power of Planting," is taking place on Friday, 12 June, at 4 pm in Marylebone.
